FXO (Foreign Exchange Office): The FXO (analog) interface connects to a trunk line, such as the one connecting your carrier to the IP phone system. It receives ringing voltage and battery power from FXS devices. FXO interfaces connect the IPPBX to the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). One FXO channel is required for each line received from your carrier. The module serves as an interface to connect the analog system to the VoIP system, in this case the Zycoo PBX.

The analog trunk FXO interface connects to a trunk line, such as your carrier's. It receives ringing voltage and battery power from FXS devices. The ZYCOO 4FXO U50 U100 4 FXO module with 4 FXO interfaces connects your PBX to the public switched telephone network. One FXO channel is required for each line received from your carrier.

The analog trunk FXO provides connectivity to the analog interfaces of loop-triggered trunk lines in telephone exchanges. It can be combined with BRI, PRI, and GSM modules. Typically, a phone is connected to a carrier's loop-triggered line and is, by default, on-hook. When off-hook, the phone closes the line circuit and power flows. The operator emits an audible tone and accepts DTMF (Dual Tone Multifrequency) calls from the caller.

The Central Office Interface Circuit (COIC) is the heart of the analog loop-start interface and replaces a telephone when connecting to the telephone company.
